1、Repair of PE sheath of cable body
For the PE sheath surface of different degrees of damage, take the following repair technology:
1. The surface layer is slightly scratched or the surface layer is slightly abraded, and can be directly sanded and smoothed.
2. Deep cracks, scratches or serious damage, you can first mechanically remove the broken parts of the PE, cleaned with acetone, processed bevel, and the original PE sheath material with the same welding rod for pressurized surfacing, and then grinding and polishing of the welded parts, so as to restore its original appearance.
3. When PE anti-aging properties reduced to a certain extent, can be wrapped in PE surface PVF tape, to prevent direct ultraviolet radiation and acid rain erosion, thus slowing down the sheath aging speed, improve the protection of life.
2、Anchor repair in anchorage area
For the corrosion of anchor head, anchor plate and subsidiary steel structure, the original rust should be cleaned up by wire brush and rust remover, and then the surface of anchorage should be re-painted or filled with corrosion-resistant sealing material, or increase the protective film. If the pin and thread of the anchorage are corroded, it is necessary to replace the pin and nut, and at the same time, repair the pin hole and external thread.
3、Repair of waterproof structure in anchorage area
Anchor corrosion under the cable structure, cable conduit and protective cover water is generally caused by the failure of the bridge deck waterproof cover, once found water phenomenon, should be repaired immediately to prevent rainwater from seeping into the cable conduit and protective cover in a timely manner. Specific measures are as follows:
1. Open the waterproof cover, thoroughly remove the residual corrosion-resistant materials in the cable conduit;
2. Inject the corrosion-resistant sealing material from the mouth of the cable conduit directly into the cable conduit;
3. Reinstall the waterproof cover, using water-expandable high-performance seals and sealing materials to seal the interface;
4. Wrap a layer of heat-shrinkable tape around the transition section between the waterproof cover and the cable.
4、Saddle, cable clamp area repair
For the corrosion of the cable saddle and cable clamp structure, the original sealant as well as the rust stains should be cleaned up first by using steel wire brush and rust remover, and then the surface of the cable saddle and cable clamp should be re-painted or infused with corrosion-resistant sealing material, or increase the protective film. If the bolts of the anchor clip are loose, they should be pre-tightened in time, and the rusted bolts should be replaced.
5、Replacement of cable ties
In the full life cycle of the bridge, the cable structure inevitably undergoes several replacements. Regarding the timing of the replacement of the cable structure, the Technical Specification for Maintenance of Highway Cable Structured Bridges (JTG/T 5122-2021) makes relevant provisions from the technical point of view based on the results of the testing and evaluation.
The structural characteristics of cable-stayed bridges, suspension bridges and arch bridges are different, and the degree of difficulty and technical requirements for the replacement of cable structure are also different. The sequence of cable replacement should be reasonably determined through detailed analysis and calculation before replacement. Continuous construction monitoring is implemented during the period to ensure the safety of the bridge structure.
